CUB changes logo to red and blue for big World Series weekend

In honor of this historic World Series weekend at Wrigley Field, the Citizens Utility Board (CUB) is changing its logo colors to the Chicago Cubs’ red and blue. cubs_cublogo

Since these are the first World Series games played at the Friendly Confines since 1945 (a heart-breaking loss to the Detroit Tigers in seven games), we wanted to show our support for the Northsiders in their long-awaited quest for a title.

I myself have bled Cubbie blue since I could throw a baseball, and we have many die-hard fans in our office. (Even some of the White Sox fans have said– somewhat begrudgingly–that they’re supporting the Cubs in the World Series.)

We can’t help but cheer for an underdog–because we know how it feels. My co-workers don’t turn double plays, but they have helped Illinois consumers save more than $20 billion against the big utilities.

From one CUB to another: Go Cubs Go!
